I wanted to make a checkbook cover for a friend who likes frogs. Thanks to some nice quilters on this board, they helped me out with some froggy fabric. So here are early results. Still have a couple more to make. I quilt the cover to make it more substantial with batting inside. I think they came out pretty good. Had to cheat on one because the fabric pattern made it hard to use any other way. They have a pen holder on the front. p.s. I notice in picture I had one upside down but you get the idea. Fewer folks are using checkbooks nowdays, too.

Ha! As I made these, I was thinking someone might be asking that. I have a couple more to make so will try to take pics and do a tut. We just learned how to make them in our guild one day. Might be a week or more before I get back to it but I promise I will.

I like that it has a place for a pen (I'm always searching for one when I write a check.) And I love the froggies!

Those are beautiful. I will be looking for your tute. I really appreciate your showing these. Do you have any other ideas for small items that could be made for stocking stuffers, etc.?

I make tissue holders too and will do a tut for them also. Will try to have both done by March 26.

I see someone else has done a better tissue cover tut than I so I am doing mine their way from now on! :-)
