Default The Quilted Collage Bag

Some years ago, I wanted to try some fusing or collage, I think it's the same more or less. Well, I bought three patterns and really enjoyed doing them. The were on the small size and they were supposed to be framed and hung. I don't have that kind of room lol. anyway, they the sat in the drawer, until today when I ran across them. I was thinking bag because I had made some crazy pieces for a bag.

The piece was to wide across and too long for the tote that I wanted and I sure didn't want to cut away all that work. I folded the sides to the back and added a piece of Kaffe fabric to make the size I wanted. This way the design went around the tote. I made short handles so I could have the bag right under my arm and it's a long bag anyway. I love this bag. I lined it with pockets and it is so colorful. here are some pics. the first piece is the size of the the little quilt. and then the bag etc.

I had actually bought the pattern and her dyed fabric (Melody Johnston) to do this little quilt. I love it better as a special bag and I have two others that will go the same way lol.....
