I layered a piece of muslin over some thin batting and used rulers to quilt the main design, then colored it with Inktense pencils and fabric medium. Then I added some more batting and a backing and re-quilted the main design and added the filler designs in. After the quilting was done I used 2mm rattail and the overcast stitch my sewing machine to bind it and mounted it on a piece of foam core which I glued to a 24" square stretcher frame. It was a lot of fun to do and I think I'll do some more of them.
