That is a beautiful quilt. I love the colors and your background fabric is awesome. Great quilt. Post a pic when you get your baby home.

Your quilt is beautiful, and my guess is that when you get it back from the quilter you'll be surprised that it will be even more beautiful! Be sure to post a pic!

Quilt is beautiful! My 25 yr old daughter just took the first quilt she ever made to have it quilted. She called to tell me that it was like taking a child to school for the first time. (She has no children)

Love those colors. I keep thinking I'll make a french braid out of colors like those one of these days, but haven't gotten around to it yet.
Great Job!!!

Jljack p The name of the quilt pattern is "Jewel of the Night" by Roxanne Carter. It is out of The Quilter Magazine.. March 2008.

dorothy - the "other quilt" in the picture is a cover over a futon... not a quilt. I picked it out because it did mimic a tumbling blocks quilt.

Everyone.. thank you for your kind words, I will post a picture once I get it back from the quilter.
She told me that she would take care of it and do it justice. Like I said very first time going to a long arm.. it was just too large for me to attempt on my own. It measures 118 x 110. So i will be counting down the weeks - days till it comes home.

Hope everyone has a great evening.
