    Thank you for your kind words. Yes it is a cathedral windows.The flowers were machine appliqued. I had vowed after school (long time ago) that apart from hems I wouldn't hand sew unless absolutely necessary.
    A couple of years ago I actually hand appliqued an old hand turned machine onto the front of a machine cover. I was surprised how much I enjoyed it and how relaxing it was. I then did one for my best friend and hand appliqued another antique machine onto hers.

    I changed the pattern a bit as I wasn't happy with the way the four patch blocks were put together. Should have done that before I had cut them. Hence the different size green borders.
    I'm lucky that I've always been good at maths so don't have much trouble changing things about.
    When my girls were little I used to do that with drafted patterns for clothing. Made a lot of their clothes unique.

    These were all made quite a few years back. I've been busy with charity quilts for the last 2 years after becoming involved in a local charity called Project Love & Care. It's for abused and/or neglected children who are removed by the police and are going into foster care. I've also done a few for family & friends,as well as Project Linus and the Christmas Wishing Tree.
    I bought an embroidery machine when one of our group passed away. That takes up time too.

    { I also joined this board and I'm addicted. }

    I also knit for premmie babies but usually in winter. Have also made a jacket from chenille wool for our beloved granddaughter. Need to be doing something most of the time. I find it boring to do nothing and TV is full of rubbish.
    Thank you for your kind words.

    Your border on the scrappy really makes it pop. I will have to use that idea on one of mine in the future.
