Amazing! Was quilting actually done on the machine in photo? Am so impressed with your finished project.

A wonderful work of art! I enjoy thread painting, too. And you said it right when you said it takes practice and perseverance. I also learned a lot from Leah Day.

How beautiful! The trees are exquisite! I love your feathered circles too! Did you quilt this yourself? Was it quilted on a longarm or a regular sewing machine? You are very talented!

I'm really excited today because the lady (who has no computer so she can't have seen this) that I quilted this for called by and GAVE ME a piece of the centre fabric on this quilt!! It's the same size as her centre panel I think!!! I am happy with what I've done, but I'm really, really thrilled that she liked it enough to do this for me. How cool is that???!!!

That is cool. I hope you have made a thread painting for yourself.

I used the HQ Sweet 16 sit down machine - I never know whether to call it a long arm or FMQ as its a cross between both. Can't use pantographs & laser systems, have to do it all the "hard" way by moving the fabric just like a regular sewing machine. I really love the machine and am practicing hard.

The wreaths were done on an embroidery machine and the designs came from Kenny Kreations .com and are called "Feather Wreaths". There is a set of 35 in six different sizes.
