Stunning quilt in lots of aspects. The surrounding squares and their lovely quilting compliment your thread painting. You will enjoy looking at this treasure for lots of years. Perfect combination.

[QUOTE=Capri;6541624]You can do anything if you are prepared to practice and not let yourself get discouraged. I have done so few projects, but I try to practice quilting for at least an hour every couple of days. I have watched A LOT of videos on the net but I've listened to what the experts say about it. It just takes time to get the feel for it. I've found Leah Day to be most helpful.

Like everyone else who has responded I'm absolutely blown away by this quilt. All the adjectives have been used. You, Capri are truly an artist and like many of the quilt artists I've met, you don't seem to realize it. Yes - everyone can learn the techniques; I can do that. So can most others who are willing to dedicate the time, effort and frustration it takes. But the art part goes well beyond that. Most of the rest of us make quilts; you brought this one to life. Congratulations for such a stunning result; I'm just sorry you couldn't keep it. Joyce in DE
