I visited Greencastle, PA, my hometown for the triennial homecoming. The quilting ladies at the Lutheran church displayed quilts they've made for those in need. You'll notice that the designs are not elaborate, but there are at least 2 wonderful outcomes from their efforts. Someone who has no cover or shelter gets a quilt, and some ladies who never learned to sew are becoming beginning quilters, taught by those who are more experienced.

What a generous thing to do. I love the way they have been displayed...almost like they are soaking up the blessings before being given. Thank you for sharing.

What a wonderful assortment of quilts! I didn't know that Lutherans were such avid quilters. I thought we just... sung loudly.

    (Yes, I'm a Lutheran too.)
