I visited Greencastle, PA, my hometown for the triennial homecoming. The quilting ladies at the Lutheran church displayed quilts they've made for those in need. You'll notice that the designs are not elaborate, but there are at least 2 wonderful outcomes from their efforts. Someone who has no cover or shelter gets a quilt, and some ladies who never learned to sew are becoming beginning quilters, taught by those who are more experienced.

What a blessing they must get from doing this. It warms my heart to see this.

That is a lot of quilts :shock:

What a wonderful way to help everyone, some learn quilting others get the gift of warmth :thumbup:
