    Quilts for friends children

One of the ladies in my walking group passed away leaving a 9 year old daughter & a 15 year old son. I decided to make them each a quilt from fabric samples another friend had given me. It is an easy pattern of 4 " x 6 " rectangles with a 1 " strip sewn to each side. Just alternate the direction of the squares, although I did have to pay attention to which direction I cut my rectangles as I didn't want the fish/animals on their sides.

That is so thoughtful of you to make those quilts for the children. I am sorry for the loss of your friend.
