    For the pattern of the "catty" one, maybe you could work around the cat pattern found at About.com:Quilting - Cat quilt block (it's free) and combine with the Snail Trail pattern (I'm sure you'll find it when you google it). I've got the pattern as we did it as a BOM in our group. Good luck!!!
