Three of my grandchildren are moving to Sierra Leone, West Africa. I made them quilts so they can be hugged by a part of me while they are so far away.

My DGD, Abby, with her Disney princes quilt. The pattern was designed by Maxine Charleston, using Christmas fabrics. It was published in McCall's Quilting, Dec. 2002.

All three quilts are beautiful!!! It must be really hard to see them go, but they will always be hugged by you every time they wrap themselves up in your quilts!

Beautiful-the quilts too ;-) I hope they enjoy their stay in Sierra Leone and know they will feel your love when wrapped in those beauties!

Oh how sweet. I am sure they will be trully missed; but so nice that they can wrap up in Grandma's love every night.

Great job. And those blessed grandchildren will be hugged by you every time they cuddle up with their quilts. :)

They love those quilts, you can see that. But Grandma, my heart is aching for you! When two of my little ones moved 7 hours away, I thought that I would about die, so can imagine what you must be feeling. Is this a permanent move for them, or just temp.? Carol

Very beautiful quilts for your very beautiful grandchildren. Mine are 1100 miles away and I miss them terribly, but half-way around the world, oh my!! They'll be in your arms every night getting HUGS and LOVE from their grandma!

Your quilts are just lovely! I can't imagine my babies going so far away. I hope you will be able to visit. In the mean time they will feel your love every time they are quilt-huged! I will pray for safety and adventure.
I especially love the Abby quilt. What is the pattern?
    Blessings.

It's a 3 yr. term for them. I'm hoping the internet will keep us connected.
