I am making quilts for all my nieces/nephews (5) and their children (9) so am posting some pictures as they are given their quilts. Here are the second set of quilts for my second niece and her two children.

The quilt for Autumn is a Rag Quilt made with Connecting Thread flannel. She has coveted a flannel quilt that I made for my daughter some years ago and now finally has her own. As evidenced by her name, she was born in the fall and loves fall colors. I waited a long time for the right flannel fabrics to be available. The quilt was so easy to make because I started with 5" charm packs for the pieced blocks which means I didn't have to cut a lot of 5" squares. I did have to cut the larger blocks.

The quilt for Hannah was made from 2 1/2" strips and the pattern is "Summer Breeze" by Kim Brackett and can be found in the book titled "Scrap-Basket Surprises." I highly recommend that book - it has several other quilts in it that I plan to make. All the quilts start with the 2 1/2" strips and go together fairly quickly.

Braiden's quilt is one that I pieced some time ago but just got it finished and quilted. It was just a strip quilt with the star points pieced to one side of the strip section. I don't recall the block name. Braiden is pretending to sleep.

Here's the link to the quilts made for my first niece and her daughter: http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-161967-1.htm
