Default Quilts for my GGSs

DGS#1 decided to become a traveling RN to payoff his student loan. He got a bachelor's degree before he got the RN. So packed up the family and are in NC. I think his wife is a saint to move there to a rental for 13 weeks with an 11 month old and one that will be 3 the last day of March and a dog. They're moving from Charlotte NC to Wilmington NC in January for the next contract. DS#1, DDL, DGD & DGS#1 are heading there for Christmas and taking the quilts to my GGSs. The one with the dinosaurs is the first panel I ever saw in flannel. The panel ends at the first black border. The under the sea one was a kit I picked before DGS was even married because I knew there would be more babies in the family.

Both quilts are nice, I really like the border treatment you put on the second one!
Your son and DDL sound like they are determined and dedicated! Great team!

Default They are just great!

Those adorable quilts will be loved to threads, just as a favorite blanket should be loved. I admire your son and DDL they are committed to pay off and sacrifice now to make a better debt free life before the kids get them more tied down with school etc. Good for you to raise a son who makes good choices in his drive, money matters, and of course his wife.

Beautiful work! I really love the second one with the sea creatures. You totally enhanced that center panel!

Love how you designed your blocks and borders around the panel. You are going to put some happy faces on your grandchildren's faces.
