Default Raffle Quilt - Storm at Sea

This quilt has a story. Each year, there is a fundraiser for a certain organization. Last year, the theme was Africa. This year the theme is Nautical.

I took the authentic African fabrics from last year's event and made it into this Storm at Sea quilt using the paper piecing technique.

This picture is only of the top. Now, I have it all quilted except for the borders. I was having difficulty deciding what to do there, since borders are so noticeable.

Thanks for looking!

Well, you are amazing. All of the quilts you have shown are beautiful. I love the "Storm at Sea". I keep saying that this will be my next quilt then I get sidetracked. Love yours. BrendaK

Lovely! I never would have thought of African fabrics for Storm at Sea, but it works wonderfully!
