very nice rug and a way of using up strips.
With my strips I sew them together to make a small charity baby quilt.
    I don't crochet......darn.....Donita

Nice. Good way to use up scraps. Do you sew the ends together by machine?

I cut a slit in each end lengthwise and loop them together like you would rubber bands. I keep a ball going and when I have a strip I add it to the ball.

Very nice rug. I save my strips and give them to a 90 year old woman who makes these rugs. She gave me one and I have it on display.

I love those. They remind me of my grandmas house. I have to try one someday.

How wide are your strips? I have some scraps that I was thinking of doing a rag rug to match my quilt.

I cut them one inch wide..then on each end I cut a slit lengthwise about 3/4 of an inch long about a half inch from the end to link them together.
