I am only posting this because it has been quite expensive for me. I live in town and have two very large pine trees in the front yard. The roots run the length of my house and cause sewer problems. I don't wash rag quilts the first 3 or 4 times in my washer because the plumber said the combination of tree roots and the huge amount of thread from the quilt cause problems for me. I don't know how many people have issues like mine, but I know I don't have the only trees. Something to consider when you look at washing these.

By the way, it is beautiful.

You are new to quilting? Gal, you are lying! This is fabulous work. I am inspired to try a ragged quilt now that I've seen your example.

P.S. I like the back of the quilt as much as the front.
