how much seam did you leave to rag? I'm doing one of animated owls and leaving about 1/8", hoping it will just be fuzzy. a little haircut to get those extra long strings might make you happier with yours ;)

Thanks everyone for being so kind. If I remember, I think the squares were only about 6 inches. The base of the block is solid, the half moons are just set on top of the block and sewn down with a 1/4" topstitch, make sure the stitch length is shorted to prevent it from unraveling too far. so the only part that should fray is the curve. It really is a drunkards path block but no curved seams. I did not clip anything, just threw it in the wash. All the colors were scrap bin stuff, I think the colors are actually bolder IRL, maybe the sunshine faded it. Glad you enjoyed another idea.

Oh my goodness!!! I love it! I really like it with black, think I might be making another one. I really like the raggy edges on it. :)
