    Default Rainbow French Braids

Shortly after I joined this forum, someone provided a lead to some clearance-priced fat quarters at Michaels. They came in five gradated shades per color, and I got them at like 60 to 70% off. I spent a good long time dreaming of the perfect pattern and finally decided to go with French Braids.

I decided to start with a middle square and work out, so the braid would go in two directions. I unfortunately miscalculated and was going to end up with four braids of 102 inches -- not good. So I decided to break them into eight braids and border one with black and one with white. So here they are -- I am so glad they are done!

They are both beautiful! The French Braid was a perfect choice for your fabric.

Oh those fabrics work wonderfully with this pattern. I especially love the quilt with the black borders. Thanks for sharing.

Very pretty quilts, love the colors and the raggedy edging, makes them cuddly looking.
