I love the park and the Old Lady's Shoe house...the quilt looks perfect on display on such a grand setting. Beautiful.

Hi Athenagwis,
I can't believe I'm seeing that picture of the old woman in the shoe here on this board. You see, my son has plans to rebuild the two foot bridges that lead to that attraction. He is 17 years old and is doing this for a scout project. We have just hosted a spaghetti dinner last weekend and we were amazed by the town's support. So we know all about the shoe. We've been making trips there since last fall to take measurements of the current bridges, assess the pavement and the stream bed. We've made presentations to the town selectmen and the Bensons Park committee. He and my husband were there last night. In a few short weeks, the rotted old bridges will be gone, replaced by new bridges. And you will know that it was my son and his great supporters in the Boy Scouts who did it.

And, after all that rambling, your quilt is just lovely!

I love the gradation in the colours. And the shoe pic is awesome.
