No special rulers were used, and there was VERY little fabric left over....I could fit it in the palm of my hand! Thanks for all the nice comments. I'm pleased with how the top turned out too.

So much about this quilt is just so wonderful! The colors.. the excellent piecing... the border.. its all beautiful. Do show this beauty again when its quilted.

Beautiful quilt! Log cabins and stars are my 2 favorite blocks, and the layout is perfect. Remember to show us the pics after you have it quilted!

Simply lovely. I know what you mean, I am wary of kits because I always need extra fabric. Even if I don't actually use the extra fabric I want the security of knowing I have it on hand, rather than scrambling to see if I can locate it before the line gets sold out.

Your quilt is great. Thank you for the picture.....What pattern is this?
