This turned out beautiful. I really like how you did the borders.

I never realized it until I was finished that it was going to have that look. I like it and I was not going to put the orage blocks in but glad I did. They broke up the pattern to give it the irish chain look.

You did a great job on the quilt! Good show!
So good to see it completed - - I was there when you were asking about the little squares ... I couldn't figure out the "between the blues" at the time, but my goodness!
That was just a brilliant solution.
Thank you for sharing! <wave>

Thanks and your welcome, my last thought on this is maybe going a little bigger on the last boarder. What do you think?

I think that would be a good idea, since the binding will make that last border even smaller than it is, and should make the little squares a more stand alone feature ... overall, the quilt is just a great expression of your enjoyment of the making of it. <wave>

That would create an out border that would equal the sizes of two of the inner squares, correct? When I put final borders on, I try to keep the measurement consistent with some segment of the inner quilt (I think I heard some "expert" make a comment along those lines, but don't quote me <g>) ... I have control issues, so I have to have a reason for the measurement I choose LOL ... anyway, I think the extra two inches would be fine/great/good!
What color are you going to use to bind it with? That purple stuff is very pretty ... and, I do like the SW orange feeling <wave>

Boxer Mom, where did you get the southwest material? My house is decorated in the southwest motif. You did a great job with the design and colors.
