I don't have time to read nine pages, so if this is a repeat, just ignore:
I saw a tip on Fons and Porter Love of Quilting show, to pull fabric that is stacked like that, use two magazines, one above the "desired" fabric, and one below and it just slides out, and do the same to get it back in, but personally, I don't think it would be as straight as when you stacked it.
I have mine stacked and it works! :thumbup:
