What a wonderful story. That young man will treasure that quilt forever, and he will remember your kindness. God Bless your brother and his wife.

It's so sad when parents want to turn out their children because they can't or won't deal with them. Sometimes all a teenager needs is someone who will love them, spend time with them, talk to them, etc. At 6 my son was nearly kicked out of Kindergarten, this happened. He was diagnosed with ADD, put on medication, was given extra help from his Kindergarten teacher, and at the time, I loved him, but I didn't like him very much, there's a difference. Today he is married, has a beautiful daughter, has a full time job and is going to school at night and hope to get into nursing school in Sept. He's a bright, loving, caring young man who has made us proud. I'm not saying it was easy as there were times I almost gave up, but the battles were worth it. Your brother and his wife are doing an admirable thing by taking this child in, and I wish them all the best.

Beautiful quilt and what a lovely way to add to the grandparents way to express their unconditional love to the troubled young man. Hopefully it will help give the young man new and positive directions in life. Best wishes to all of you.

You love and compassion show in this quilt. If you read energy, you can feel all the positive thoughts bound to it. I hope it provides comfort and proof of love to the young man.

How could a parent do that to a child! I am so upset for him. Sorry. Just venting. I nearly lost one child from extreme prematurity and my second son has muscular dystrophy. You could not pry either of them away from me ever no matter what! I am so glad you and the grandparents are able to show this boy some love and attention. Sounds like he will need a lot from what was lacking before!
