Ready to be mailed today
Just before the holidays, My brother and his wife announced they were seeking custody of their almost 14 yo grandson because neither parent wanted to deal with him. I felt so bad for the kid and couldn't imagine such a thing happening to any child. So he moved in with very little belongings. At the time I was quilting a kingsized quilt, but started this while the other one was on the frame. Thought I could whip it off real quick - HA. Had many thread breakage problems and took forever to discover the problem and then everything went smoothly. I have to say I hate to do binding and need to learn another method. I hate to give this one up.

Great quilt! Sorry the parents have given up on their child but sometimes a change is best in a bad situation. I hope it works out for everyone. My grandparents couldn't deal with a teenage son decades ago and he came to live with my newlywed parents. He turned his life around, got a job, married and never forgot the favour his sister did for him.

Great quilt, generous loving spirit behind it. I'm sure he will thrive with people who love him and who can look beyond current issues to help him reach his full potential as a wonderful, responsible, productive, caring adult.
