Yes, I'm going to be keeping this one. As for a quilt show I wouldn't know where other than the county fair. I was thinking if I am done with it maybe I will enter it this year.

When I applique I baste the shape down, then do needle-turn applique, and forget using the papers...

Or turn the seam allowance under, baste it in place, then applique down. The pieces don't look too small, so this would be a good way to do it.

Since you already have everything placed, you may want to pull off the paper, and needle-turn.

Some do suggest keeping track of the time it takes to make a quilt. I have been gestamating my time. I should start keeping better track. Good job.

The time you are putting into this quilt is well worth it.

WOW..... I love it...... I know where it can find a good home.

I know this is an old post but I keep coming back to it. It is so beautiful. I am on my first try at applique on the borders of the quilt I am making know. I could not find your finished quilt. I would love to see it. Is it somewhere here on this board?

That's a very pretty layout and I love the two shades of blue in the flowers - they give it depth and more interest.
