    she was an excellent quilter and even entered some shows. I have no idea
    if she's still on board or if this one was finished, but I bet it was .
    She quilted circles around me.

    Beautiful applique work! Thank you for sharing your progress. I hope you find the method that works the best for you. There are so many methods to use. I like the traditional needle turn method. I have not done any applique for awhile but it sounds tempting to do a project.

    You are doing great! Yes, that is a good way to make circles. You can buy a set of circle templates that you sew a circle of fabric around with running stitches, pull the thread to make the circle tight, tie off and then remove template and there is your circle! Keep at it
