Default real barn quilt pics

I have not seen a thread of blocks on real barns, so I thought I'd start one. This is off of I-25 in Wyoming, USA

I don't have pics - yet! We are traveling through Ohio back roads and have seen many of them. It is such a treat. Never have the camera ready.

It would be lovely to have them all on one thread, like the scrappy quilt show thread. Great idea, leonf!

Oregon has a committee to pair the barn quilt paintings with barns and to set up trail maps to find them. I am thinking of making one. I guess I could put it on my garage???🤣

See my avatar, they are fun to make. My sister and I each made one last year. It was a fun project.

I want my son to make me one. We have a large shed that would be a perfect place. I just have to decide what block I want. Maybe instead of just one I should consider 4 together to make the block, like a mini quilt.

I talked my DH into taking a class to make a barn quilt...of course, I picked a difficult pattern. He did a fantastic job and painted on exterior plywood provided by the instructor. After hanging on our garage for a month or so, I noticed that the "quilt" started to delaminate.
I have all of the paint to make another one...I LOVE a a barn quilt...but am concerned what product to use.
We moved the delaminated one to an inside porch (looks great there).
I want one for the peak of the garage and one for our cottage.
Can anyone tell me what type of board to use? Marine Plywood? Someone suggested MDO board but I have no idea what that is...
