I agree with the black borders to frame the beautiful colors. I can see why your mom loves it the way it is. It's so cheerful!

This sounds good to me too!...The minkey on the back will definately make it warmer!! I think it is very pretty now....can't wait to see it when you finish it AGAIN!!! :lol:

I agree with every one on the borders. To make it bigger you could do a border and then another row of square. It has wonderful colors to pull from. Good Luck

Mothers always love what their daughter makes...thats how we are!!!! I would also just add a black narrow border with maybe a 3-4" solid color border. You could even use a batik fabric. Older people like bright colors so don't take that away from her.

I really like this bright quilt. I would just add borders and quilt, to me that is all that is needed.
