My friend has a Pfaff and a Bernina (both mechanical machines, older and actually both came from me

) and we've had them over here several times, working on them. Here they are cleaning out the bottom. This is a machine I bought used from another lady and then she bought it from me. I doubt we'd ever had the bottom off.

(They are 22 and almost 20.)

I did gift the older one, who just got married, a Janome that was gifted to me. The younger one doesn't have one yet, but she's only a sophomore in college and doesn't have a lot of time to sew at the moment.

Boys that age are usually embarrassed at little things, however, he did an amazing job on the quilt and you should both be proud of his accomplishment. It's a great charity quilt and he's a good looking boy.

I think it's a wonderful idea to teach boys sewing. His quilt is fantastic and I'm sure some little boy will be happy to know it was made by a young man. Great job!
