Recycled Quilt
#1

Hi Everyone,
At one of my quilt groups we were set a challenge to make a quilt from recycled fabrics. I made this from offcuts from a Savill Row tailor's who makes shirts and then sells the scraps for charity. The dark blue is a duvet cover that we bought for my daughter when she was going off to university. She never managed to use it as she only just left when covid hit and she was sent home... then when she went back she moved to a new flat which had a larger bed - so the duvet cover was just sitting in the linen cupboard.

Love this! I have a collection of thrifted shirts waiting in the wings and have seen many quilts that use them, but they are sometimes too busy with the different prints side by side. The blue sashing solves that problem beautifully. Definitely a winner in my opinion.
