Some of us are wanting to know, what the white squares are, white jeans or new fabric? and were the seams pressed open or to one side? thanks

Wow, great job. I started saving old jeans but got discouraged about comments about how heavy the material was to work with. I think I'll start collecting them. Thanks for your post.
