A goodies tin
I love these tins. I use them just as I find them to store my Christmas cookies outside on the screened-in porch in the winter time. If a squirrel does eat through the screens (at least once each winter-----darn squirrels) then they cannot get into my cookies. I discovered this trick out of necessity one year when I set hot fudge outside to cool while we went to pick out the Christmas tree. I came home to little chocolate paw prints all over the porch and 2 big holes in the screens (stupid squirrel couldn't remember where he came in, so he chewed another hole in a different screen to get out). These are 5 foot screens held in by trim, not easy to replace---dang blasted. The porch turns into a "walk-in" freezer in the winter time.
If ever the neighbors run out of food, they have mentioned that they will just get into my porch and eat.
You did a lovely job covering this tin...
