This is the first quilt I've made for myself. I gave everyone in my immediate family one for Christmas, and then decided I deserved one too! We are big nappers in our family (even though we are all grown up), and so we like our nappy quilts.

My long-arm quilter really out did herself. The pictures don't do it justice, but it is really beautiful.

I still need to finish the binding. Hope you like it.

Wow, that is so pretty. I love your floral fabric. The quilting is awesome too. I would love to take a nap under that quilt.

WOW!!! I love the fabric choices! Isn't it great when we get to finally keep something that we made? I'm finally working on one for me to keep also. I'm having sew much fun
with it. Great job on the quilting also.

I love the fabrics too. I purchased the large flowers first with no quilt in mind. I knew I wanted to make something with red, black, and white because I love that color combination. Then I saw this pattern and knew it was "the one." So then I went back and purchased the smaller flowers. The rest was easy.

BTW, I admired the "roses," when I was in the fabric store. The store owner, who seems surprisingly unfriendly, informed me that they were renunculous (sp?). Her tone was so disdainful it was downright funny. I love her store, but she hovers so much, I always feel like she's trying to get rid of me. Business must be good is all I can say.
