I "thought" that it was a mexican star (saw it on these boards) but what I didn't see in the original picture was that the center of the square was cut on a curve & I was already way to far into it to go back & change it, not that I would have because straight lines are easier to sew & I am such a beginner!

It's amazing what the finished product looks like, isn't it? I cannot believe how my perspective changes as I go along. Beautiful, beautiful quilt.

That is a very interesting concept for the pattern and I am really struck by its simplicity and it's beauty. Great quilt!
