First a great big Texas THANK YOU to all of you wonderful folks who replied to my cry for help when I realized I had just pieced a red/white quilt without pre-washing the fabric. Three color catchers and a good dose of vinegar, and there was no bleeding fabric with washing.

Second, mount up before you gallop by these pictures. I went to the www.DayStyleDesign.com site, and that sweet little lady made her FMQing look so easy. All I can say is..."I tried" :D

Third, my SIL came by today and we whipped up this reversible table topper for the shindig at her house tomorrow. Millie, the inspector approves.

Love it! Glad the color catchers worked for you, I never pre-wash my fabrics and always use a color catcher in first two washes, if giving quilt as a gift I include a color catcher with instructions.

I use the color catchers when I wash all of my quilts, because I never wash the fabric before I use it. It works great, I have never had a bleed from any color....

Great work on the quilt, I also love red and white quilts.

Great job. Love, love, love Color Catchers. I never prewash. I must be brave or crazy or a little of both.

It all looks great! I looked at her site yesterday too and got the guts to give it a try. Well the needle bit me.. got a nice rip as I pulled my finger back and broke the needle.. Yours look good and I don't see a red trail either. Great work!!!

She puts her fingers SOOOO close to that needle. I wonder if she's been "sewed" ever? I got my right index a few weeks ago....broke the needle. OOOwwwwwie that hurt! Hope yours gets better quickly. Thanks for the nice comments.

Leah from Dayestyledesigns is such a great teacher. Her FMQ designs sure do look easy until you get to the machine that is.
