I totally agree. She also did an amazing job on her quilt, she must be so proud of it

I only hope I will reach the ages of beauty. To me the elderly have a lot to teach. I always learn something new from my elderly quilters. I think they are wonderful women and men. I help all that I can in the mobile home park where I live. Some are old and cranky, but the challenge to me is to make them smile. I take them to and fro the doctors and appointments. On my down time, I like to make them something special. My next project is form a friend of mine. She is 79 and can out do me on a daily basis. I am planning to make her a quilt. I have a lot of flowery scraps. I am going to incorporate the flowers with the batiks I have. I am thinking of the cathedral quilting putting the flowers in the center.

The elderly are great and I love them all!

I haven't said anything in awhile!! Kudo's to her! This is a great piece!!
I sew and quilt with some ladies at a section 8 (government assisted with bills and little lower rent). Nearly everyone is over 80 and there are about 6 ladies that make bags for CASA and preemie hats for Baptist hospital and regular knitted and crocheted hats for the Cancer center. You can NOT keep the ladies of this generation down!! They have made a big queen sized quilt to auction off to buy yarn and fabric if they need it! My mom was a part of this community for many years and she moved to Arizona to live with my other sister. She is sending me 3 quilt tops to quilt! for her great grands!!! I have a long arm machine!!
