Remember this? I found a better one.

This was an old quilt I found of my aunts that was in very bad shape. I just found another one in so much better shape. Just wanted to share. Name: DSCN0801 (640x480).jpg

Does anyone agree? I think I will only have to replace the middle blue strips, right?

How do you go about replacing certain things on an old quilt? At the flea market the other day there was one there in the same condition and the lady said it was in really good shape.lol I guess we differed on opinions on that one.

On the re-placing would you sew one side of the strip to the quilt through all layers then hand stitch down the remaining sides? Then hand quilt over it?

There was an old note pinned on the first one that's in such bad shape. It said that it was made by my Great Grandmother and her mother when she was 12. If that's so it was made in the 1800's.
