Putting the fabric in the sun would fade it, but it would also weaken the fabric. Looks like there are several areal that need help. Good luck!

    Me, either.

It looks like the fabric is very very worn out - what is left of it -

and I would worry about whether there is any strength left in any of the fabric that would hold patches without further damage.

How about using the backside of fabric to achieve a faded look :?:

Good luck, someone must really love that pig.

How about making a new one?
You might get one hole fixed this week and have another to do next week.

Patch up the hole, and then make him a pair of quilted pants?

I'm of the same opinion as n2scraplvr. I think Piggie is in serious need of extensive skin grafts!

This little piggie looks like it was made from a "cutter" quilt (an old quilt that is too damaged to be useful for anything else except to be cut up and re-purposed). Part of it's charm is that it has holes or rough spots in it. That hole on the back surely is too large, though! I think I would do the same as has been suggested before--build a foundation and applique' something over that area.

lol... pants is a good idea. So is using the back of fabric for the faded look.

It is cute and I'd like to make a pattern of it.
