Thread: Repurposed Singer base

    This is a table made from a Singer base. The cabinet had no machine and it was really in terrible condition. So my DH made this lovely little table and I just love it.

    That's really cool.

    I remember a base like that, it was my grandmother's sewing machine that my father and mother sewed with. I never could get the hang of the foot action, my brother Jim did and made himself little drawstring bags for his marble collection.

    I have one very similar to this that I use as a sofa table.
    I have loved it since I had it.

    No.....this is strictly a table. Right now I keep my light box on it in my sewing room and it is a good height to sit at it and trace patterns.
