Thank you so much for your kind words. I used a pattern called Topsy-Turvey Hearts from cottongloryquilts.com. It calls for cutting 2x8 inch rectangles and using one 4 inch square on the bottom in the rectangle to make the point of the heart and 2 2.25 inch hearts on the top of the rectangle to make the heart bumps and then sew 2 opposites together to make a heart. The instructions were written more clearly than that, but that's the gist of it. I was pleased with how it turned out. It calls for 2.5 yards of background fabric, 3/4 yards for binding, 8-13 fat quarters and 4-4.5 yards for backing. There are also optional boarders calling for .5 and 1 yard of fabric for each. I now have a bunch of bonus triangles left over to do something with. I'll need to figure that one out next!

Just Jan- I posted the pattern name in this thread. It makes a nice lap quilt. I found it easy to make and I hope your chemo treatments go well.
