I can only imagine how much fun it would have been to "design" this quilt for a very special coworker and I am sure she will enjoy and appreciate each "block of memories".

You are so talented! Love the quilt. Maybe I am partial, having worked in a college library for many years.

Very nice quilt. Love the colors, too. Do you think she is expecting a quilt, even though you used to always do it together?! Awesome. Thanks for sharing.

She is probably expecting it. First she told me not to bother. Then she told me she'd help me with it! Then it didn't come up again. She has to know I'm making it. Hardest part has been not having her support and advice! We're used to sending pics to each other with "how about this?" or "What size would you make...?" kinds of questions.

We live in a small town and will definitely keep up with each other. There are now 5 of us who are retired and then little old me. We meet once a month for supper - whoever shows up is there - and will continue that. She just moves to the retired side and .... I don't. Her husband has Parkinsons and is declining. She needed to make this decision. We are traveling buddies and will take a trip in June. Not sure how much modifying we'll need to do for his disabilities, but ... we'll gladly make them.
