Gena, I love it. I love the clean simple lines and that you brought the turquoise back into this round. It's awesome.

Now please, take a breath. You have lots of time before the next one is due. Enjoy christmas with your family.

Oooh Gena - I really like it.
I agree with Judith about it bringing the calming turquoise back in. I also think it sets the stage very well for the next round.

You all are so amazing. That is the perfect thing to add and even tho it's simple, it's striking and as was said, lays the perfect platform for the next round.
I don't know if I will ever be ready to join one of these RRs, but I surely am enjoying watching!!!

dragonfly nana: I love what you've done with my center!!! Very pretty!

I've been very busy finishing some UFO's-I finished my mom's KING size coverlet. Here I was trying to make it lighter weight as my mom didn't like how "heavy" her other quilt was (it had "warm & natural" batting and a lot of quilting which did weigh it down!). I put flannel on the back and just did enough quilting to hold it together. But, it seems it is still heavy! (hoping it works for her once on the bed. I think it is heavy because of all the thread used to piece all the
blocks and using flannel on the back; plus, I think having the very long 25" drop makes it heavy.

I've also been quilting and finishing some UFO lap quilts for Christmas gifts (2 tops for 2007 and 2008!).

yaya, I loveeeeee your mother's quilt and the borders you added to give that drop. Those fabrics are so pretty and add the size without detracting from the lovely sampler top. Great job!!!
