aw, he's so cute. Give him a sweet little happy face. He's happy to be gifted to a friend you think so much about.

Doll, stuffed animal construction.....very different then quilting. Some of my first attempts and I've only had a couple did not look as cute as your little elephant. And others are a work in progress.

Ooops, I missed the finish. Thanks for the website. I love their patterns over there.

PS, forgetting the tail was a happy accident. I LOVE the tail you gave Edna.

He looks like his sister, I have one that is a girl, slightly crooked in her body area.

Is Eddie so sad he can't stand up and he's leaning against that black whatchamacallit? I love him. Is he being adopted without a tail as well. My vote is to give him a sad face, not a frown...just sad! You can look on line for face characteristics and stitch him "sad." Thanks for the peek at Sad Eddie and an intro to his history. You've made my night!

Eddie is only sad because he hasn't made it to his new home yet. He is adoreable! You are your own worst critic....at least I am. Your friend will only see the thoughtful gift and won't notice if there is a slight imperfection. I would love him if he showed up on my doorstep!

Love him! Don't know how I can afford to feed him but I will take him if he doesn't like his new family.

I think I'd give him sleepy eyes - not sad or happy, just sleepy and content.

I think for a first time making a stuffie and with curves and whatnot, you did a fabulous job. They get easier after you make a few more.... but I think he's just stinking cute, quirks and all.

I think you did a great job - he is very cute and should be smiling in spite of maybe his less-than-perfectness!

You can easily make a tail for him in a few minutes. Take some embroidery floss in a similar color, separate it into three , braid a little tail and sew it on his behind. I think he is adorable.

Of course....HAPPY! He HAS to have a crook in his trunk because it's good luck to have the trunk curved upwards and how else could you do it without a crook? Adorable!

Only his eyes will show, his mouth will be hidden by his beautiful ears as it is under his trunk. Embroidery floss can easily be added for his tail. I think you will be surprised at how happy he will look with the addition of eyes and a tail. His legs look great and elephants have lots of wrinkles in their trunks just about where yours start its uplift.
