Last week, I posted a blue sailboat baby quilt. Here is the girly pink version of that same design. My sister asked for baby quilts for a gift to a couple who are expecting boy/girl twins. Since I already had a blue quilt, I decided to make a pink one. I had time constraints, as I deliver quilts tomorrow. It took me three days to construct, and that was really pushing myself. Each embroidery block takes about 45 minutes each, and there are nine of them, so that was one day. Day two was cutting and piecing. Day three was quilting and binding, I did it very simple to cut down on time. I learned it is a lot more fun when you can go at your own pace. I like to complete one stage and then put it up on my design wall and think about how I want to proceed, which is the creative, fun part of the process. Not too much design wall time was given to this quilt. The different colors seemed so faded to me at first, once I started quilting, it changed, and I ended up liking the soft grey and pink tones. Now that I am done, my stiff knee and arthritic finger are bothering me, in protest. Time to sit still for a while. I thank you for looking.

Love it - Looks good how you quilted around the boat in the grey to make it look like it was framed.
