Default Samples of EB Hole in the Wall

About a week ago, I posted a question about what quilts could be made from fat quarters, and I must thank all who replied, for the great suggestions. One of them was Eleanor Burns Hole in the wall, and someone said that if you watched the video, you could make it from that. I watched the video, and they were so right, and I went right to work, with some scraps and made one. The only part I didn't like, was that it came out SOOOOOO BIGGGGGG, squaring up at 20 inches. So back to the graph paper, make the dimensions smaller and came up with a block that squares up at 13 inches. Much easier to square something smaller.

Beautiful blocks! I looked for that video and couldn't get it to come up. I'd love to learn to do this one.
That beige background print is sooo pretty.

Ah, yeah, the joy of squaring up...

I think the small block looks great! How wide are the green strips?

I watched it but it was long. I'm spoiled with Missouri Quilt videos that are right to the point!
I didn't realize the blocks were so big but I do remember her giving the quilt measurements I think but it didn't compute in my brain. I like your idea of making the blocks smaller.

On the smaller block, I started with a 3 1/2 inch square, adding 3 1/2 x 1 1/2 inch strips to the 2 sides, pressing, and then just did a cut and measure to finish it up. If you want more complete directions, just pm me. It really is an easy block. Mine should have been pressed better before I took the pic. Oh well.
