I think I'd do a pinstripe green around, then maybe a 2-3" of something else. Loving how that's turning out!

That's really cute! It must feel good to use up most of your scraps too. I'm a double border type of person. I like a narrow inner border, then a wider border. Kind of like a double matted picture. You might want to lay a few colors out and see what looks good to you and if you go with the 2, what looks good together.

Nice quilt!! You did an awesome job of using scraps. If this was my quilt I would put 2 borders on. First one the size of the small strips, maybe in a light blue. The second border would be the width of the blocks in a darker blue. Thos blues just speak to me personaly & I find them calming and lovely. I rarely use white for borders unless it is the main color but if white speaks to you it would look great as well.

I was a hopeless case for borders until I read this post and studied 'all' of the videos. Now binding is a walk in the park for me. I promote this post every chance I get because it was so valuable to me and I know it must have been to many others. I hope it will add value for you as well and make binding a pleasure instead of a monster hiding in the closet.

My guess would be a thin white border to 'matte' the quilt, then a black/dark, then a wider red.

Audition it (just lay it on fabric) and see how it looks...take pictures.

I would do a 1 1/2 inch Red border and then a 2 1/2 inch Teal border and bind in Red

Is there aspecial place for this quilt? If there is , I would use a dominate color from that place and use that to bind or border it.

red, white and blue pop out at me. I like this quilt.

Just read pg.2 and saw SEWNMOM's idea of the white border and flowers with vines - Love that idea!
