Another quilt that I recently finished, quilted by myself.

I used Bamboo batting and didn't pre-wash it, and it when I washed the quilt it shrunk and made the quilt look kind of puckered, I don't think I'll use Bamboo again.

What a happy quilt :) Love the scrappy inner border - really works well! Great stippling

Never used bamboo batting, the puckering doesn't look bad infact the quilt is georgious.

I get where your going with the puckering as it would not have been my choice for the finnished quilt either. However I need to say, thats a great use of colour and I love the thread you quilted with. Its a beauty, for sure!

The butterflies in there are such a great touch. The quilt is wonderful. I just love the colors.

Bamboo is soft after washing and hypoallergenic so I do like it for baby quilts.

It's a great looking quilt and I don't think the slight puckering effect detracts from the overall appearance at all. I'm sorry that this isn't the look you wanted after all of your hard work. Perhaps the company should state on the batting the shrinkage that will happen when the batting is washed. I never prewash batting so will keep this in mind if I decide to try bamboo batting.
