This is so cute. I bet you made up your own pattern, didn't you?

Yes I did. I've make this kind of coin layout before but never with an applique on it. I was sorting scraps into piles: pink green, blue, etc. was going to make a scrappy pink quilt, realized I didn't have enough so added another color, then another color until I had everything except the yellows. browns and black.
Next one will be with those yellows and other colors it will be for a boy and have a green frog appliqued on it

The subtlety of your ballerina turns what would be a nice quilt into one with a special touch of love! Impressive!

I love your quilt. I have just made two similar ones, Chinese Coins with white backgrounds, using Marimekko scraps. I love scrap quilts with solid background fabrics. That is my preferred way of using scraps.

Women are Angels. And when someone breaks our wings......... we simply continue to fly ........ on a broomstick.
We are flexible like that. OKAY?

I didn't use a pattern, just pieced a bunch of strips together and then cut them into lengths. I think these were about 5" wide and 2.75 high. then alternate a piece strip with a white strip to the length you want. You could use any stacked coins pattern.
