Scrap Quilt Called Pollinate And Two Placemats

I used scrap muslin and appliqued circles on it. It is a lap quilt.
I made these two place mats for a friend whose kitchen colors were blue and yellow. On the back of Pollinate I made the mistake of putting the backing upside down so I appliqued those pink strips over the seams to hide the booboo. Extra work but it made it so I could give it away to a friend.

both scrappy projects are wonderful. I have not yet tried appliqueing circles... looks a little tedious but what a fun lap quilt. I also love your FMQ on the placemats... great job

Yes they are hand quilted. I had the pollinate quilt all pinned and grabbed it off the table and saw those raw edges staring at me I was very upset. It hurts my back to pin/baste or sandwich my quilts together and I was thinking it would be easier on me to sit and sew a strip on than to take out the pins and repin. I have a tall table but it is still a problem.
