I printed out my pattern for paper piecing and EQ divided the block into 4 different parts...I did as you describe for stitching the pieces and then trimmed them all. Then I stitched the parts together and finally had my little star blocks. I then added squares to end up with 5 1/2" (unfinished) blocks which I stitched together. It took me over a week to do the border.

I absollutely love that software and never thought of trying the star in a paper piece pattern.

I've turned many a block from EQ into a paper pieced block. Good luck!

Looks gorgeous. Thanks for sharing, another idea to whet my appetite, was feeling a little jaded about quilting until I started reading on here today.

very nice. I love your ideas and isn't it wonderful how we can learn from each other and gather that creativity? Did you have to hunt hard to find the angel fabric?

Thank you for the nice compliments! Unfortunately, I'm NOT good at all with writing patterns.
